Tabley Moat has disappeared from the waters list.
I went to have a look today and bumped into one of the residents of the adjacent houses. The map book that I downloaded, a little over a year ago, has it as a water. The guy I spoke to said that he had heard that the club has let this water go. The current map book does not include the Moat...
Is this loss correct and how was this piece of information passed on to members ?

The Moat was released over two years ago now. There was a email and notification sent out to all members of the clubs intention to let it go, if I remember rightly it was something to do with the lack of work to the biomass we could do as it’s protected.. it was something like that I can’t quite remember exactly. Anyway yeah it was a while ago now and I think the club invested in Tetton and sparrow by securing the fishing rights with the money saved from the Moat again that’s if my memory serves me right.
What a shame...what was the reason and how was this piece of information communicated to members ? How are changes to the clubs waters made known to its members? Am I missing something ?
