14 years I've been a member of lymm anglers got some cracking waters they cater for everyone just abit niffed off about the tree removal on wrinehill this year can see it having a major algae bloom this year. Should of got on the island and cut it all back so fish don't get tethered to the island
Thanks for the reply was fishing the other week with my lad on wrinehill it was like green pea soup in all the margins you could see it was an alge bloom hopefullyit doesn't get worse with the weather forecasted
Like everything nowadays prices have gone up on EVERYTHING the cost of living is scandalous. Water rent has probably gone up as well but I think I’m right in thinking that membership is nearly full and in theory that should see the club on a stable financial position unless someone knows something I don’t 🤣🤣
They did go into this at the AGM they don’t have a set amount of numbers it goes off how much money the club needs to run year on year and that is the cap. Is if all anglers bought the rivers ticket the numbers would in effect be double but if everyone bought the full gold+ or whatever it’s called now the actual numbers would be less. I’m going g to guess people are jumping to conclusions that because the membership hasn’t quite been filled yet the money isn’t there BUT there was loads of contributing factors to expenses last year so this year the actual amount of revenue the club needs might be less but they will still want to hit a specific amount to help secure waters for the future, the treasurer explained how the club secured waters (renting) and how the club operates on putting an offer to the vender I have a very limited experience in “balancing books” but they way he spoke and outlayed how the club operates was fantastic and in reality I still can’t word it as well as he did.

The only thing we struggle with is getting people helping to do the work needed to get the waters in tip top condition.
We are currently discussing the amounts of money vs the amount of members.
We are not struggling financially but I would love to do more work on some of the waters to create really nice pegs and paths.
This all costs money and myself and the team are currently putting a priority list together of what needs doing on which waters.
We have hit a few waters hard this year so that in the future it can be more manageable.
So I would ignore the rumours because actually financially we are fine but like every club we could do with more.

Personally, I think the club is great and I love being in it.I just keep hearing.Their having money trouble
Think you need to be a bit more specific in what you mean by struggling ?
For members ?
For waters ?
Keeping hold of waters ?
Personally most members I’ve met so far this season have seemed fine with things atm
Struggling?
