I had a really good session on the pool yesterday, I mistakenly thought I'd get there early and have a full day but wifey had other ideas and I didn't get to the pool until 1.30pm, there was two other lads fishing so I set up in the first peg you come to from the car park. I was using a quivertip rod with a method feeder , bait was a 10mm cocoscope wafter with dampened pellets on the feeder, there was a few carp moving and feeding to the right of the peg about 3 rod lengths out so I made the first cast and as I was tightening the line I had a savage bite which resulted in a nice common carp weighing 5lb 6oz and when I finished the session I caught eight carp, three bream and two roach, the first carp was unusual it's Dorset fin was set back half way down the back (see photo).
